Here’s a few images from yesterdays wedding which took place in Sligo. Catriona & Shane, and everybody else at the wedding made it a joy to photograph.
The sun, believe it or not, made it not so fun! Photographing a wedding in very bright sunshine is difficult, with shadows on peoples faces and a very white dress making a photographers job pretty tough going! But saying that, it still beats the rain! There’s a couple of ways to deal with the bright sunshine, the best being to find open shade! So when choosing somewhere to go for pictures, somewhere with trees is always good but even when there’s no trees, I tend to shoot the images backlit which solves some of the issues. The 4th image in this series was particularly tough, as the only option here was to shoot with the light, simply because of the view, it wasn’t possible to shoot backlit! But hey, that’s all part of being a wedding photographer!
