Has summer finally arrived for us? Who knows, but for last Friday’s wedding (and Saturdays even more so!) for Hazel & Liam it was a glorious day. Starting in the nice riverside village of Roosky, where Hazel got ready in her fab gown from Events by Ray Michael….then around 500 metres down the road, their lovely ceremony took place in the local church.
What I love about a summers day wedding, is after the ceremony when the church is emptying, the guests just hang around chatting, and for me, that allows me to get some great candid shots…and this continued onto the reception venue of Lough Rynn castle too, where everybody was gathered out the back enjoying the weather.
We got all the family shots done outside the church and at the castle, then did the bridal party stuff around the trees and open shade of Lough Rynn. Then myself, Niall from Complete Weddings and Hazel & Liam just went to the walled gardens for a few more relaxed portraits. Not going very far for the portraits allows the bride & groom so much more time with guests, and that’s really what a wedding is all about!
After some pretty funny & emotional speeches, the band The Stand, started getting everybody warmed up…and these guys sounded pretty mega!
Enjoy the sneak peek shots, and I’d love to hear your comments…just leave them below!
