As the 2012 wedding season gets closer, end of February is when I start, that also means I’ll be starting to shoot engagement sessions very shortly!
The engagement shoot I do with couples is complimentary with all wedding packages, and it really is the best way to get superb wedding images, as it gets you used to being in front of the camera!
An engagement shoot for couples usually lasts for around one hour. Choice of location is entirely up to you—anywhere within reason and sometimes it’s great to use two or three locations to get a variety of images!
What can I do with the images? Some previous clients have done the following:
- Use the images on wedding invitations.
- Have a large image mounted for signing by guests at the wedding reception.
- Have a guestbook made up for signing at the wedding reception.
- Have images framed for hanging around your home.
But it’s really up to you what you use the images for! The most important thing is that it gets you used to the camera!
For any super adventurous clients, I’d love to do some different shoots this year. In April I’m heading up Knocknarae with a couple to do a full shoot on the way up the mountain before reaching the top of the cairn…the views up there are outstanding, and that will certainly be a mega eshoot! If you have any outdoor interests, surfing, biking, anything really & you’d like to add some of it into the shoot, please let me know, as they can make some great, fun images…and as I used to shoot Formula 1, capturing action pictures is a breeze!

Just enquiring do you take family portraits and have you a studio that ya take them in? How much does it cost?
