From a wedding as far as Lanzarote, to last Friday’s wedding in nearby Ballisodare! Laura & Shane were fab to work with, and dare I say this was a ‘Super’ wedding!! These guys had a really sunny engagement shoot, and low & behold their wedding was pretty much the same!
From a very relaxed house in Ballisodare with Ann Young finishing up the girls make-up when I arrived, everybody was very chilled! Flowers check, cars check, a few quick portraits and it was off half a kilometer down the road to the church to quickly photograph Shane & the guys before the ceremony. And with some beautiful sunshine beaming through the church the ceremony was over and everybody was chatting & relaxing outside the church. Yes, things happen that quickly on a wedding day, which is why it’s so important to just take it all in & enjoy every minute of it!
Following a few family photographs inside the church, out of the sunshine!, myself & the bridal party headed towards Sligo and the stunning Sligo Abbey to get some relaxed portraits in the grounds. This was my second wedding to get to shoot inside the abbey, and I really hope to get back there soon! It’s really fab for photography and it’s sheltered & shaded too so you’re protected from the dreaded wind and bright sunshine! After 20 or so minutes getting some pictures we made our way towards the reception and the Radisson Hotel in Sligo. With some gorgeous tulips in full bloom out the front of the hotel, we grabbed a few quick shots before making our way inside.
How cool are the guys looking in their superhero t-shirts! I love when couples come up with some great ideas for fun pictures! It really adds something to the day and I think all the guys were looking forward to seeing a few shots on the slideshow I did later that night!!
