Here’s a taster of last weekends wedding, the first of the year that was actually a little warm…not counting my Lanzarote wedding of course!! The day started in Co.Sligo, near Curry, where all the girls were in great form, with all make-up & hair practically finished when I arrived, two hours before the ceremony as always. Having the girls finished early always means some great candids to be shot around the house, and fingers crossed no last minute panics! And aside from a pair of ear-rings ending up in the trash (they were rescued in time!), everything went smoothly! And with the beautiful light outside, we got some great relaxed portraits outside, before I made the short trip to the church to photograph Billy & the guys and the last of the guests arriving.
After a beautiful & relaxed ceremony, and with all the guests enjoying the ice-cream van’s 99’s, we got all the family photographs done right outside the church in the gorgeous open shade…my favourite kind of light! After a few more images next to the bails of hay bride & groom, and a quick trip to Howley’s pub, we made our way to Turlough House to get some images of the bridal party & bride & groom. On arrival there, I found the most mega field of wild garlic that miraculously had a walking path cut right through it! Using that area to get all my photos of Martina & Billy, we grabbed a few of the bridal party in the gardens of Turlough House before making our way to the Castlecourt Hotel in Westport!
Flowers on the day were from Feehilys in Sligo. And shooting alongside me all day was Niall from Complete Weddings…it’s always great to shoot alongside Niall, as his work gets a yearly showing in my own house!!!
