WEDDING 2nd MAY CASTLECONNOR-ENNISCRONE

Caroline & Matthew, Wedding, Castleconner to Enniscrone, County Sligo.

After photographing Caroline & Matthew’s engagement shoot around Strandhill a few weeks ago, I knew they’d be easy going & relaxed on their wedding day. So when I arrived at Matthew’s house first then Caroline’s for their wedding last Saturday, they were exactly that…so relaxed, ready & up for a great day…rain or shine! Speaking of the rain, I was all set for a full-on wet day, working indoors, but thankfully we got a dry afternoon to get a few images outside, and although it was cold, it was great to get some images outside with some cherry blossoms, trees and even a barn owl!

Starting in Matthew’s home for a change, we grabbed a couple of quick shots around the family garage area which was filled with some really great mechanics stuff, which came out great in the pictures. I’d have been more used to photographing around clean & clinical Formula 1 garages, that this was a welcome change!

I made the short drive down the road to Caroline’s home then, and when I arrived all the girls’ hair & make-up was done already, which gave them plenty of time to chill & relax & enjoy the morning while I stepped back & simply documented! And when everybody was dressed & ready to go, I grabbed a few relaxed portraits before heading to the church to document the ceremony.

After a quick shoot near Enniscrone, we made our way to the Diamond Coast, where the bride & groom had loads of time to catch up with friends & family while I sneaked around looking for candid shots….that’s when I also noticed the guy with the owls – a gorgeous barn owl, a huge eagle owl (I think) and the most amazing snowy owl….he was nice enough to allow the bride & groom hold the barn owl whilst I grabbed a quick picture!

Congratulations again Caroline & Matthew & I hope you all enjoyed the long bank holiday weekend!
