Natalie & Christopher, Wedding, Sligo Cathedral Co.Sligo to Castle Dargan, Co.Sligo
My second wedding from last weekends extended St.Patrick’s weekend took place just in the road in Sligo. Having photographed a cool wall art inspired engagement shoot with Natalie & Christopher a couple of weeks beforehand, and having also photographed Christopher’s brothers wedding last August (Zara & Gareth), I knew this would be a relaxed, easy going wedding, and that’s exactly what we had last Saturday!
From capturing a few of the guys at their home in the morning before heading to the girls house near Ransboro, everybody was super relaxed and just got on with enjoying the morning…even if there was a little drama with a bridesmaids dress zip, it was the most relaxed drama I’ve seen at a wedding!
With the weather still cooperating, following the ceremony we got a few family pictures outside the church, which is rare because there’s always a breeze blowing around the Cathedral in Sligo, but that was absent so it allowed us to get the family shots nice & quickly allowing us to get to Castle Dargan shortly after!
Having the sun make its appearance during the afternoon, we got some fun bridal party relaxed portraits and some of the couple around the grounds of Castle Dargan, and I love shooting at this hotel because the couple is never far from the reception area, and this maximises time spent with their guests after the photos…and with the fab weather continuing, we got some great shots of Natalie & all her friends outside! The fun & madness continued when the bridal party entered the dining room & erupted into the Harlem Shake!
Congratulations Natalie, Christopher & Sean and thanks again for inviting me to photograph your wedding!
