Ok time for a new category of posts and with this I’m keeping it simple…picking out my favourite real moment from each wedding from the past week! And even though I’ll have already posted the image within the wedding post, I’m placing more of an emphasis on this genuine, unposed documentary style image! It’s like a Behind the Image post, but instead of doing it in winter, I’m doing it a few days after the wedding and it has to be a documentary style image!
So to start, from Mary & Shane‘s wedding Friday week ago, we have an image of Mary & her dad doing the last bit of preparations! I seen this image a few minutes before this scene unfolded but it was actually the bridesmaids in one room & Mary the bride in the other room, but it just didn’t work out as there was really too much going on in the frame…so I waited. If I see an angle for a picture I will sometimes wait to see if the shot appears, and hope the photography gods will look down & gift me the shot…on this particular day they did!
I love this image because I love how both Mary & her dad are framed with a frame, in the same image yet completely unaware of each other. It could almost be two separate images joined!
