Michelle & Niall, Wedding, near Delvin Co.Westmeath to Bloomfield House, Mullingar.

Although temperatures hadn’t quite got into the mid-teens yet, last Friday’s wedding was a beautiful dry, sunny one for the most part & everybody at Michelle & Niall’s wedding made the most of it!

After driving across the N4, I started documenting the day at Michelle’s house where everything went smoothly, for the most part…bar a little extra pin!! With everybody ready in pretty much good time, I got down to capturing a few relaxed portraits & of course plenty of the best behaved dog, Lolly, before I made the short journey via the backroads of Westmeath to the lovely church on the hill near Delvin.

With a few more relaxed shots of Niall & the guys & the last of the guests arriving, I just waited for Michelle & her dad to arrive in the stunning red MG! I do always love arriving at a church to have the priest tell me I can do whatever I want! Regardless my aim is still to be as unobtrusive as possible…I want to capture everything but without being noticed!

One thing I love about a packed church is that usually the last of the guests have to sit in the choir gallery, which makes for a gorgeous processional shot with everybody looking down at the bride & her dad! Following the lovely relaxed ceremony, all the guests left the church & just gathered chatted & paid no attention to me capturing candids of all the various couples & groups! With all the families still around, we took 5 minutes to get the family groups photographed before Michelle & Niall headed off to Bloomfield House with the top down in the MG!

As we arrived at the hotel before a lot of the guests, we got straight to doing the portraits around the gardens of Bloomfield – what gorgeous grounds and with a lake nearby, we didn’t even have to make the walk down to it as we were able to get some great portraits much closer to the hotel & having shot their engagement shoot a couple of weeks ago, I knew Michelle & Niall would be great in front of the camera..and they were!!
