Niamh & Ronan, Wedding, Skreen to Enniscrone Co.Sligo.
I love working with couples that know how I work having been at other weddings I’ve shot…and Niamh & Ronan had seen me working at plenty of weddings last year & before that also! Previous couples I’ve shot that were at their wedding included Michelle & Joe, Tara & John, Catriona & Colin, Caroline & Matthew, & Vanessa & Eoighan! I still think the record number of previous brides I’ve photographed at a wedding is 7!
Starting at Niamh’s home in morning, in a stunning part of Sligo, it’s great arriving when all hair & make-up are almost all done…it means everything should run on time and the girls can really enjoy the morning, which is exactly what Niamh & her bridesmaids & family did! And although it was drizzly & overcast when I arrived, when it actually came to getting a few portraits, the rain abated & allowed us outside, even if Knocknarea was still half covered in cloud!
For me it’s great to arrive at a church 15 minutes before the ceremony is due to start, it doesn’t happen too often, but it allows me to capture the last of the guests arriving & chatting with the groom & groomsmen. Following a very relaxed ceremony, we were able to get some quick family portraits at the door of the church, before myself & the bridal party headed to the nearby coast, near Niamh’s home to get some relaxed portraits…and relaxed they certainly were with plenty of champagne popping too!
On arrival at Enniscrone, there was plenty of time to mingle with guests, get a few friends shots & get down to enjoying the day fully…and that is what a wedding is really all about!
Congrats again Niamh & Ronan! Thank you for having me capture your wedding also!
