Katy & Emmett, Wedding, Drumlish Co.Longford to Lough Rynn Castle, Co.Leitrim

With summer more or less passing us by again this year, bar a few days in May & July, somehow I’ve got outside for the majority of my summer weddings, and as you can see from the website, they’re been coming in fast! This has been one of my busiest periods in 10 years of shooting weddings, and that’s just the way the calendar went…the first couple of months were quieter so it was all leading up to this run! And when you’re in the flow, it’s easy to get complacent, shoot in the same locations so even though I’ve been to Lough Rynn Castle loads of times, but only a couple of visits this year, for Katy & Emmett’s wedding we visited a different part of the grounds for the pictures. The grounds of the castle are so amazing you could easily spend a full day around the walled gardens, and this spot is equally as good! There’s some angles & spots around here I didn’t even try to squeeze in but definitely will in the future!

And to follow-up on this being my 10th year as a wedding photographer…I’ve also had this blog running for all 10 years…back then there were less photo blogs & a lot less wedding photographers! Actually before I’d even shot my first wedding in 2007, I had posts going up! You can read every single post I’ve ever created on this website. Unfortunately some of the ‘early’ years images have gone missing when I updated the whole site a few years ago, but the text is there! And I’ve just made the finals of the Ireland Blog Awards 2016! I didn’t even enter for it, so somebody must be reading the site…thank you!

Anyway, Congrats again Katy & Emmett! Enjoy the break in Ireland before your honeymoon!
