Muireann & Eric, Wedding, Ballinamore, Co.Leitrim to Lough Rynn Castle
Here’s a preview of Muireann & Eric’s wedding which I shot on the last weekend of October…a Sunday wedding for a change, and one where the clocks had just gone back…I don’t think I’ve ever shot a wedding on the actual day that the clocks go either back or forward, this was the first! Also, in 10 years I have searched near & far to find a red maple tree for some glorious autumn colours, but it took me until last weekend to find one…but it was worth the wait! There’s just some trees in autumn that are simply amazing…quaking aspen trees in the USA are one but you do not get them in Ireland, and red maple trees are the other.
On one of the calmest, nicest days of the year, Muireann & Eric got married near Lough Rynn Castle, and had their reception there also. If it wasn’t for the tree colours, you would have thought this was a summers day! But you knew winter was creeping in, when daylight started to fade at around 4pm, so we got the bridal portraits done even quicker before it went completely dark…I do use some of the best lenses you can get for a camera and it does let me shoot in pretty dark conditions, but not in total darkness!! But we got everything done before dusk set in and the slight darkness actually gave the red maple tree an extra bit of pop!
We then retreated to inside Lough Rynn where a blazing fire was keeping all the guests warm as the bride & groom made their way around and I just left to them it and got down to documenting the rest of the evening reception.
Congratulations again Muireann & Eric.
