Regina & Alan, Wedding, Boyle Co.Roscommon to Diamond Coast Hotel, Co.Sligo
You might remember Regina & Alan from their gorgeous autumnal engagement shoot in Forest Park…it not, check it out here! But their wedding a few weeks ago was just as beautiful…and relaxed too! From the morning preparations in Regina’s home, which was full of ladies getting ready & excitement, with Regina being the first of six daughters to get married! And with everybody ready nice & early it meant I could get some relaxed portraits, and get to the church before most of the guests to document their arrival.
The church in Boyle is somewhere I don’t get to photograph in very often, but I do love it! It’s so nice & bright…perfect for pictures! Following the ceremony and a few family pictures outside the church, we headed to Boyle Abbey nearby for a few minutes. And it was perfect timing, as Boyle Abbey like most OPW sites in Ireland closes between October & April, and it had only opened the day before the wedding! It’s a super location for pictures & I’m thankful that Regina & Alan trusted me with picking that location. We finished the bridal party photographs on the cliffs overlooking Enniscrone beach. We only needed five minutes here & I think the girls were thankful of how quick I work, because it was getting chilly as the clouds rolled in!
Back at the Diamond Coast, the reception for the bride & groom was nice & warm, the layout of the room gorgeous & laid out a little differently than normal & the whole room loved the speeches & especially the best-man’s poem for the bride & groom…very original & very thoughtful for Regina, Alan & of course Lucy!
Congratulations again Regina & Alan & Lucy!
