Natalie & Steven’s, Wedding, Sligo to Castle Dargan
I had the pleasure of photographing Natalie & Steven’s wedding last weekend! I guess you can call this the start of the 2nd half of my 2017 wedding season following my short break in the Exumas! As my tenure living in Strandhill comes to an end (I’m staying in Sligo don’t worry!) one of the things I’ll miss the most, is watching the coastguard boys in Rescue 118 take off & land nearly everyday in the airport down the road. My office has a lovely view of the end of the runway, so I get to see the chopper flying really low most days over my house. What’s this got to do with the wedding? Both bride & groom are members of the coastguard, so there was definitely a nautical feel to the wedding & the details! Aside from watching the chopper take off & land & fly around Strandhill, I surf, swim & kayak in the sea a lot, so I’ve the biggest respect for the men & women off the coastguard & RNLI. I’ve seen what they do first hand in Mullaghmore during big wave competitions & also rescuing people off some sandbars on Strandhill beach! Thank you guys!
Back to the wedding, and it was pretty much a relaxed day from start to finish! Relaxed, all on time, and even the weather was pretty ok…not like the following days, but it was dry when we needed it dry so I can’t complain!
And it’s really not very often that I get to see myself working at a wedding, but one of the guests had a drone flying & capturing the bride & groom exiting the church…and naturally I’m in the shot doing my thing! – Drone footage.
Congrats again Natalie & Steven!
