Caroline & Brendan, Wedding, Lough Rynn Castle
I always say this, but I love working with the same families again, for multiple reasons! Firstly, it’s the best recommendation I can get, it really is! And second, the family knows how I work and it definitely makes it easier! And that was the case last Friday at one of my favourite venues, Lough Rynn, when Caroline & Brendan got married! Back in September 2014, I photographed Caroline’s sisters wedding, so it was great to meet everybody again in the morning.
Arriving under dark skies (see photo underneath), I was thankful that this foreboding sky passed over & led to sunshine for most of the day! Actually it was a pretty perfect day, with absolutely zero wind! After getting some documentary shots of the girls preparing, and also Brendan & his brother-in-law across the road, everybody got dressed & we went for some relaxed bridal portraits in one of the castle courtyards…this is a great location as it’s quite secluded & hidden, and with the ceremony in the big ballroom, nobody had a sneak peek of the bride beforehand!
With a beautiful & relaxed ceremony, where Caroline & Brendan literally tied the knot, after greeting all their guests, we headed towards the always gorgeous gardens nearby to get some pictures before heading back to the reception where a lot of the guests were enjoying the weather outside!
Sunshine, friends, family, champagne = fabulous wedding! Congratulations again Caroline & Brendan!
