Leona & Ross, Engagement Shoot, Sligo
It’s getting to that time of year when the leaves change, and the colour tone of the countryside turns all orange & yellow…hello autumn!! And it’s quite possibly my favourite time of the year, not just for photography, but for hiking, surfing, kayaking! Everywhere just looks amazing in the gorgeous fall colours. But we don’t live in New England where the colours are just everywhere, in Ireland, and Sligo anyway, you have to find the colours! And in September it’s still pretty early and the majority of the colour isn’t out yet…unless you know where to look, and I know where to look, it’s what I notice when driving around! And thankfully Leona & Ross trusted me for a few minutes just to take advantage of one of the few places where the trees are already in their peak colours! It didn’t matter that we were surrounded by houses, I knew what I was looking for, and as you can see from the pictures, the colours came out beautifully, helped by a little sunshine!
We then found a beautiful farm lane that had a different feel to it, but was still very much autumnal with all the leaves on the ground and a hint of yellow in the trees! Leona & Ross are getting married in a couple of weeks, and fingers crossed, we’ll have even more colour to play with on the day!
