Lets go Behind The Image for a portrait, a more posed shot from Mairead & Jonathan’s wedding last September. As you can see, even though it’s during the bride & groom portrait part of the day, it’s anything but super posed & stiff & awkward! That’s not how I like to shoot that part of the day, and most of my clients prefer that also! So even though I’m working more one-on-one with the bride & groom, the emphasis is still on relaxed portraits. I will of course get a few shots where the bride & groom are looking at me, but it’s these images, like the one above, that really stand out for me, and my clients. It’s a moment between moments. Sometimes the best shot is the one between shots. It’s what I’m used to shooting…shoot fast, capture looks, moments that let the bride & groom go back to that moment, to what they were thinking as they take a moment for themselves.
