Fiona & Philip, Wedding, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co.Leitrim
So the Beast from the East threatened to gatecrash Fiona & Philip’s wedding. Thankfully the north-west & down into Carrick escaped much of the snow & ice for the most part, so neither the Beast nor Storm Emma were invited to the wedding last Saturday! And actually when it came to the getting a few relaxed portraits after the ceremony, I couldn’t even find any snow around Carrick!
After all last week’s pandemonium & nearly all of Ireland shutting down, I’ve started my 2018 wedding season, my 12th! I wasn’t expecting my first wedding to be so cold, but not to worry, it went off without a hitch, and aside from being so cold, a fab day was had by all! Fiona & Philip had plenty of emotions, some tears, plenty of laughs & were delighted by how many guests managed to get to Carrick. That’s what a wedding is all about, spending time with family & friends. And we’ll get the pictures around all that! I’m a wedding photographer after all, not just a bride & groom photographer!
Congrats again Fiona & Philip! And thank you again for trusting me to capture your wedding! Thanks for braving the absolutely baltic weather for a few quick portraits! By the way, I never wear a jacket or coat when I’m doing these portraits because one it’s not fair on the girls who usually don’t have one to wear, and second, if I’m starting to get cold, it’s time to head inside because the girls will certainly be feeling it!
