Dervilla & Ciaran, Wedding, Grange Co.Sligo to Mount Falcon Estate, Co.Mayo
This October has been every bit as challenging as last October, kind of stormy, but time it right & you could have the most glorious light! October 20th when Dervilla & Ciaran got married it was pretty similar, dry in the morning then a drizzle for some of the afternoon before it finally let up & let the guests see the falcon & owls in action around Mount Falcon!
Of all the weddings I’ve shot, well over 400, I’ve naturally spent most of the preparation time in the morning with the bride & bridesmaids. But for probably only the second or third time, I got to spend almost an equal amount of time with the boys in the morning, as they got the last minute haircuts done & a very cool cut throat shave.
Following the close shave, it was on towards Grange to capture the girls getting ready. And with some beautiful golden brown trees around, we got some relaxed bridal portraits right out the front of Dervilla’s home before the kids threw fallen leaves all over me! Whatever it takes!
Onward to the always beautiful Mount Falcon, and with a misty drizzle setting in, myself, Dervilla & Ciaran headed into the forest & found shelter. By the time we emerged the drizzle had passed & the falcon show was in full effect with some gorgeous owls also.
Congratulations again Dervilla & Ciaran, and it was an absolute pleasure working with you both & everybody else!
