Oyun & Tom, Wedding, Kilronan Castle, Co.Roscommon
So last week, fresh from a short trip to Santa Cruz California to recharge, I photographed Oyun & Tom’s absolutely gorgeous wedding in Kilronan Castle. As it’s my last wedding until Christmas week, and the fact there’s a lot of images to post, I’m doing a two part post here! I’m a wedding photographer & you’re here to see wedding images, so here’s a good preview of Oyun & Tom’s day, almost start to finish!
As the whole day was taking place in Kilronan Castle, I got to float between both bride & groom getting ready & capture all the necessary details & moments. It was all very relaxed, with everybody ready in pretty good time. Weather was ok, especially for November, a little cold but not freezing, so it was nice to be able to get a few quick relaxed shots of Tom & the guys outside, just before Oyun & the girls were ready. When the room in Kilronan is as nice as it was, there was only one place to get some bridal portraits. Oyun was fabulous, elegant & we got some quick shots before the ceremony was due to begin.
Of all the times I’ve been to Kilronan Castle, this was my first wedding inside the gorgeous Palm Court. And you can see from the images, how beautiful it was especially when Micheal from Feehilys went to town on it with the decor. I knew Lady, Oyun & Tom’s cute little King Charles, was performing ring bearer duties, but I wasn’t sure how it would go down, but when she rocked up to the bottom of the aisle, she strolled up there like she had done it plenty of times…a true performer!
Following the beautiful ceremony, I quickly captured some family images…even with a wedding on-site, you’re fighting the fading light, so always trying to get things done pretty quickly before darkness takes over. And knowing it was getting dark quickly, myself, the bridal party & Caroline from Pink Lime headed outside for as long as we had light! And kudos to Oyun for staying out so long because it certainly was not warm, but we got some great relaxed portraits, and even as the natural light faded & the castle lights came on, we grabbed a few more under the lanterns outside!
Stay tuned for Part 2, where we’ll be back inside, back outside for fireworks, and dancing galore!
Congrats again Oyun & Tom! And thank you again for trusting me to capture your wedding!
