Verity & John, Wedding, Tubbercurry to Carrick-on-Shannon
2019 begins here! Officially anyway, as Verity & John’s wedding was my first wedding of the season. I usually have to concentrate a little harder on the first wedding of the year, normally having had a long break from them. But this year, the off-season was my shortest ever, and getting back into it didn’t take long at all! Arriving in the morning with Niall from Complete Weddings shooting video and Ann Young doing make-up, it was like the regular crew was in the house, and I knew shooting alongside these guys, that the day would go pretty smoothly…and it did!
Following a week of unseasonably warm conditions, I just knew it would break when I had a wedding & low & behold it did! It lashed rain all morning, and I mean lashed!! But alas when it came to getting a few pictures outside, the sun came out & it stayed dry, even if it was a little windy, we were all happy with that outcome. And I’m very thankful that Verity & John trusted me to sort the location for some pictures, as I knew shooting in March can be hit & miss, so I had to think about somewhere that had shelter in case we needed it. I chose Boyle Abbey because it was on the way, absolutely beautiful to shoot in, but here was the issue, it’s closed by the OPW until end of March. Long story short, I worked my contacts & managed to get access to it for the bridal party! It worked a treat.
Start to finish this was a super enjoyable wedding, with both John & Verity super relaxed, great in front of the camera, and just happy & giddy all day! Jackpot for us photographers & videographers!
Congratulations again Verity & John……and thanks for trusting me with the location for your pictures…everything else was you guys!
