Sarah-Jane & Sean, Wedding, Strandhill to Castle Dargan, Sligo
If you read or follow my blog even a little, you probably know I’ve shot a lot of engagement shoots in Strandhill…why wouldn’t I when I used to live there, and it’s full of great locations and I knew where to go depending on the weather! But in all my years living there, I think I’ve only photographed 2 local weddings! Sarah-Jane now makes 3!
Following Sarah-Jane & Sean’s engagement shoot, I knew to expect a nice, relaxed wedding. And right from the start at Sarah-Jane’s home in Culleenamore, that’s what I got! An easy going morning, with some relaxed portraits in her parents garden, was followed by the drive up & down the hill to Strandhill church! I’ll be honest here, I don’t always take a picture of the church at each wedding, especially when I have a super nice one where I cannot improve it! The first picture below was taken a good few years ago, from the very top of the sand dune on a 300mm lens, a big lens! I took it a few days before I had a wedding there, so knowing I would be including it in some wedding selections!
After the ceremony, myself & the bride & groom went back to Culleenamore to capture some nice portraits in & around the garden again. For their engagement shoot, we pretty much covered all the beaches & Knocknarea so we mixed it up by skipping the beach…not a problem when the gardens were so beautiful, and the sun shining!
On arrival at Castle Dargan, we captured a few more portraits, a few family pictures & smaller groups, all the while listening to tunes like Radiohead’s Creep & Metallica’s Nothing Else Matters, you know quality wedding songs! I loved that Sarah-Jane & Sean let their musician’s do whatever! Fantastic!!
Congratulations again Sarah-Jane & Sean! Thanks so much for having me capture you’re beautiful Culleenamore wedding!
