Grainne & Fergus, Wedding, Charlestown Co.Mayo to Radisson Blu, Sligo
Whenever I walk into a brides home in the morning, and her hair & make up is more or less done, jackpot! You know the day should flow nicely from a timing point of view – see why here in my wedding timeline guide! And that’s exactly how Grainne & Fergus’ wedding day went! It’s not often I can nip over to the grooms house right in the middle of the bridal preparation but because everything was running on time & the girls were super relaxed, I had the time, so made the 3 minute journey to capture some images of Fergus & his parents and the groomsmen, before I made my way back to Grainne’s home for the final preparations! And with the weather absolutely perfect, we captured some great relaxed shots around the beautiful garden, before we all made the short spin down the road to the church where a packed congregation awaited the brides arrival.
Again, Grainne & Fergus must have read my timeline guide, because meeting & greeting over 300 guests after can take some time, but they flew through it and with so many guests outside the church, getting candid shots wasn’t a problem, the toughest part was trying to capture as many guests as possible!!
Following the family photos, and bridal party shots, which I captured on the church grounds – when the grounds are nice like Charlestown church, why not, it speeds things up for later on – we made our way to Rosses Point, where myself & the bride & groom captured a few more relaxed portraits around the bay before going back to the Radisson. Again I’ve been to the Radisson a lot so I’ve seen almost every variation of setup in the room, but Grainne & Fergus had gone with a beautiful split colour design which looked absolutely spectacular! And the entrance to the guests with sparklers, very cool, if not very tricky to photograph!!
Congratulations again Grainne & Fergus! Have a fab honeymoon!
