Sinead & Shaune, Wedding, Clayton Hotel, Sligo
A few days after Sinead & Shaune’s stunning engagement shoot down in the Glen near Strandhill, they got married! And while the weather didn’t hold completely for us like during the eshoot, we still got outside for some of the day. On the day I started with Shaune & the guys for a change, documenting as they got hot cut throat shaves in Sligo town. This always means an earlier start but it’s a good way to get a rapport going with the the guys and they get used to the camera too.
I then made my way over to Knocknarea where Sinead was getting ready & again just got down to documenting the last of the preparations. With Ann Young doing make up and Sinead having a good plan for the day, I knew everything would be running on time, and it was! I guess the one thing that wasn’t in the plan, but I think was a pretty cool thing, was the family cat bringing Sinead a present while we were getting some relaxed portraits done!! My cat has done this quite a few times and it is something they do to try to please their owners!! It all ended well anyway, although maybe not for the mouse!
Onwards to the Clayton, and Sinead & Shaune had a beautiful ceremony in Canis Major, which also mirrored the name of their top table! Thankfully when we emerged from the ceremony, the weather had cleared letting us get some family pictures, bridal party pictures and a quick group shot before myself and Sinead & Shaune headed to Strandhill in the Volkswagen Camper. Strandhill was it’s usual windy & blustery but kudos to Sinead & Shaune for braving the wind for a few images on the slip before we headed back to the Clayton in the rain that had now engulfed the whole town! At that stage then it didn’t matter as everything else was indoors from then!
Congratulations again Sinead & Shaune, and thanks for having me document your wedding and for going down to the Glen for that amazing engagement shoot a few days beforehand!
