Danielle & Gavin, Post Wedding Shoot, Knocknarea Strandhill Co.Sligo
Finally…when you live in a village with a glorious mountain on the doorstep, it’s definitely somewhere you want to do a shoot. I’ve had engagement shoots scheduled for the mountain…I’ve had other post weddings scheduled for the mountain…but alas either weather or life got in the way, and I’ve never got to do a shoot on Knocknarea….until last Saturday!
A year in the waiting, after Danielle got in touch in early 2019 and scheduled the shoot for early sometime in 2020. It was then a matter of waiting for decent weather. Decent weather and January and a mountain aren’t usually three words that go together. But last Saturday was the exception to the rule and the weather couldn’t have been better…a little sun, some clouds, great visibility, meant myself, Danielle & Gavin were able to go up the mountain and spend nearly two hours roaming near the summit getting some great relaxed portraits with Strandhill, the beach, Coney Island, Benbulben, Raghly, Queen Maeve’s tomb, Ballisodare Bay and even a little of Slieve League in Donegal in the background.
Congrats again Danielle & Gavin…and thank you so much for having me capture your wedding portraits along the Wild Atlantic Way!
