Lisa & Alan, Post Wedding Shoot, Kilronan Castle

My favourite time of year to photograph weddings is undoubtedly autumn. Why? Well the temperatures are still ok, the light (when the sun shines) is amazing and pretty low in the sky, and finally the colours of the trees when you find the right location can be absolutely stunning!

What should have been my busiest month of the year, October, but with all the Covid restrictions and postponements, quickly became an empty month a few months back…damn! Would I get to shoot in autumn? Thankfully Lisa and Alan got in touch a few weeks ago and asked me to photograph their intimate wedding…phew, I was delighted I’d get to shoot at least one wedding in autumn 2020. Fast forward to last week and with even stricter restrictions coming, it was decided we’d do a post wedding shoot in Kilronan after the ceremony.

Even though it wasn’t a full wedding, I still arrived nice and early to Kilronan, just to have a peek at how the colours in the trees were shaping up…I wasn’t disappointed! It looked amazing and I found a new spot there too, which was both sheltered and simply amazing…burnt orange and yellow leaves everywhere, old cobblestones, stone arches, this could well be my favourite location in any venue I’ve shot in!!

Congratulations again Lisa & Alan…and it was an absolute honour to photograph you after you said your vows!
