WEDDING 2ND OCTOBER MOUNT FALCON CO.MAYO

wedding photographer mayoLana & David, Wedding, Mount Falcon

As you can see from the first image below, Lana & David had their engagement shoot in glorious weather, actually on one of the last days of the scorching hot July heat wave, at a time when the grasses were super long & stunning in all the places I like to shoot around Strandhill!

Their wedding was my first October wedding this year and because of the warm September we’ve had, the tree colours haven’t changed yet at all! That drone shot below that I took of Mount Falcon and it’s grounds are fully green! Hopefully we’ll see the trees change colour soon, but it could be a late autumnal colour season this year! Why do I even mention this, well because autumn is definitely one of my favourite seasons to photograph in, and you can read why in this guide here on autumn wedding photography.

Back to Mount Falcon, and with both Lana & David getting ready in the hotel, it meant a relaxed morning for both, and for me, I was simply able to float between both rooms to capture both bride & groom preparations before Enda Harte performed the gorgeous ceremony in the fabulous Knox Room – that room has some of the best light in any room I’ve ever photographed in!!

With the weather still playing the game we were able to get a safe outdoors group photo before getting some family pictures and the bride & groom shots around the grounds of Mount Falcon. You never have to go far to get nice backgrounds around Mount Falcon and chances are any guests that are outside can see where we are! For me that’s important as when a couple gets married in one location, you don’t want to disappear for very long….you want to spend as much time as possible with friends & family!

Congrats again Lana & David…absolutely delighted I could document and capture your beautiful Mount Falcon wedding day for you!

Mount Falcon is located in the beautiful West of Ireland, and intimately nestled along the famous Wild Atlantic Way. Mount Falcon is a fairy-tale like setting ideal for your wedding day. So perfect, in fact, that its original conception was born from the love of a young man named Utred Knox who believed his bride was so special, she deserved to live in a castle. Carrying on the tradition of love and perfection, Mount Falcon Estate is a spectacular and charming place for couples to celebrate their very special day, in style.
