Sharon & Mike, Engagement Shoot, Parkes Castle, Co.Leitrim

It’s not too often I shoot a stand alone engagement shoot, but last Saturday was one such afternoon, in absolutely perfect conditions by the shores of Lough Gill, at Parkes Castle, with Sharon & Mike. I’d never actually shot any wedding or eshoots around the castle before, but for sure, I’ll definitely try to get back here when logistics at a wedding work out!

With time on our side, we just wandered around the outside of the castle, where most of the better shots are, but we also grabbed a few minutes in the courtyard. I had time to shoot a few frames on the panoramic camera, while also wading almost knee deep in Lough Gill to get the shot above! As somebody who surfs year round, the water at the edge of the lake was pretty warm! Whatever it takes!…and it’s certainly not the first time I’ve been knee deep in water to get the shot I wanted…see Crea & Ryan’s eshoot from a few years back at Dorrins Strand near Strandhill.
