Sara & Chris, Wedding, Markree Castle, Co.Sligo
Sara & Chris had a fab family/engagement shoot a little while ago so I knew their wedding would be a relaxed one, and it absolutely was. A gorgeous relaxed affair with close family & a few friends in the stunning grounds of Markree Castle with the sun shining down on us for their outdoor ceremony! It all went to plan, even when it didn’t! Temporary rings stepped in until the real rings were found. Some tears were shed. Family gathered from across the globe via Zoom. Just a beautiful afternoon!
As a rock climbing instructor and outdoor enthusiast, Sara & Chris had a preference on exploring the grounds of Markree for some pictures, and thankfully after all the rain the week before, the sun let us get out & about, even if the boat house was flooded!! We wandered around the trees and found some cool spots in amongst the shadows and light. It was pretty awesome to explore some areas of the grounds that I would not usually shoot in. As somewhere I’ve shot in since 2007, there’s still plenty of areas in the gardens I have never explored!
And how fabulous does the Billiards room in the castle look all laid out for a meal! If I was having a small wedding or gathering, that’s the room I’d have for a meal!
Congrats again Sara, Chris & Fiachra!! Thank you so much for having me be part of your stunning wedding day!
