I’m lucky to work with couples who usually trust me on locations to get photos. But sometimes, like for Michelle & Thomas’ wedding, it’s a location I just don’t know, so actually go with the couples recommendations! The location above was Michelle’s recommendation, and as I passed it in the morning, I took a quick look, and gave it a thumbs up! Beautiful autumn coloured trees, a lake, a quiet road, perfection!

As I made my way to Michelle’s home in the morning for the last of the bridal preparations, I took a quick look around the boreens around her home house, and this would be my recommendation for a few pictures later! We were all on the same page, a few minutes at the boreen and a few minutes with the autumn colours, best of both!

Thankfully as we left the church, it was still dry, somehow, as the forecast was dreadful. We captured all the family pictures nice & quickly inside the church, before heading back to Michelle’s home so the bride & groom could wander around the boreens while I captured some relaxed portraits. Still dry. We quickly met the rest of the bridal party next to the lake and the autumn trees, captured some quick relaxed fun shots, then it was Michelle & Thomas’ turn again for a few quick portraits. Finally the forecasted rain started just as I began shooting so we rocked it out quickly and you can even see the rain in the bride & groom shots, but it adds to it. Considering I had resigned myself to working indoors all day, the fact we got outside for nearly everything was nothing short of a miracle!!

As we made the journey to Carrick, the rain just got heavier & heavier, but at that stage the party and everybody would be inside the warmth of the Landmark!
