Erin & Jac, Wedding, Ballinrobe to The Lodge at Ashford, Co.Mayo
What a stunning, beautiful, relaxed wedding, start of almost finish! Erin & Jac didn’t give me a list of pictures to capture except for one with her dad’s classic Porsche – nicest car I’ve ever shot at a wedding btw! Yet we managed to get cousins, uncle’s, aunt’s, friends and a group shot at dusk without any fuss or hassle! I love when that happens…the list doesn’t take over, but yet we get everything & more the couple wants, nice & easily!!
It lashed rain all morning, some of the heaviest rain I’ve driven in in some time! And it rained even more when the bride & groom were getting dressed. Yet the forecast was for the afternoon to be a scorcher…so I told the groomsmen keep their sunglasses close by, we will need them! After a beautiful ceremony in nearby Ballinrobe, it somehow stopped raining on queue after Erin & Jac walked down the aisle letting us get a massive line of confetti throwing from virtually all the guests! I’ve never seen so much confetti & loved shooting it!
On arrival at the always lovely Lodge at Ashford, the sun was out, and the boys sunglasses were definitely needed! What a beautiful reception, with the doors of the hotel open and most of the guests outside or floating from inside to out all afternoon! With the bridal party & Erin & Jac getting all their photos done on site, they never missed a minute of the reception with their guests…again I love that – even though Ashford Castle or Cong is nearby & are both amazing locations, it takes time to go between places. Getting images done at the Lodge maximises time with your guests and when nearly all have arrived by plane, that’s a great thing to have!! These guys were up for a party…thats exactly what they did!
Congratulations again Erin & Jac! I’m so delighted to have been able to document your wedding!
