Emma & Paddy, Wedding, Kilronan Castle
It’s always special finishing the year off with a Christmas wedding in a castle and like 2021, I once again finished the year in Kilronan Castle last weekend! This time it was Emma & Paddy’s gorgeous day, taking place on a super cold day but oh so beautiful & sunny! On this day there was a couple of kilometers of dodgy roads getting to Kilronan from Strandhill, but nothing on the scale of 2009/2010 winter, and it was that winter that changed the way I take winter weddings due to logistics! Emma & Paddy’s day was no bother, and once at Kilronan, we weren’t leaving until evening!
I’ll say it again, but I’m super lucky in that I get to work with some really relaxed brides & grooms, and yet again, Emma & Paddy fitted that bill to perfection! They both got ready in the castle, rolled with whatever pictures were needed, had a stunning ceremony filled to the brim in the Palm Court with guests, got some relaxed portraits outside in some of the most stunning light I’ve shot in all year, then enjoyed the rest of the day with family & friends in the warmth of the castle! Phew!
From my first 2022 wedding in March with Rhona & Mike, through to Emma & Paddy’s day, yet again, the year has flown by, my sixteenth as a wedding photographer! Thanks to all my couples throughout the year that I’ve been lucky to work with, thanks to all their families & friends who have helped make my job easier and allowed me to create some of these images shown here on the website. Before the year ends, I’ll pull together a little best of as usual, so stay tuned for that!
Congratulations again Emma & Paddy…thank you so much for having me capture & document your gorgeous wedding!
