Congratulations Lorraine & Neil!
I love photographing weddings in Kilronan Castle and this year was no different. Even on this day when it was cold, wet, windy, Kilronan has places inside with nice natural light, letting you get great images regardless of the weather!
Thanks Kilronan Castle – somehow I keep finishing my wedding season in the castle! 2021, 2022 & now 2023!
Lorraine & Neil scored nicely with a stunning engagement shoot in glorious autumnal colours…on their wedding day we got everything the weather could throw at us! Sun, rain, cloud, wind…that was every 10 minutes or so! Those kind of weather conditions are the most challenging conditions to photograph in, no question – you’re outside, you’re inside, light is changing so fast, camera settings are getting worked big time! Everyone, families, bridal party, Lorraine & Neil, just rolled with it & somehow we got family pictures outside, got some bridal portraits in front of the amazing tree at Lorraine’s home, then even got a few more outside Kilronan!
This was my last wedding of 2023! It’s been a good year & it’s been the most challenging & tough year at the same time with the passing of my dad in July, but we roll on, and again I’ve had the chance to work with some fantastic couples throughout the year, starting with Anne & Johnny in March and finishing with Lorraine & Neil above. Thanks to all the couples whose wedding I’ve photographed, and thanks to their families, friends & everyone else on their days who ended up in front of my camera! Even though my posts on this website have changed to a single image from each wedding, my year end best of selection will be a little bigger so there’ll be a lot of images in there unseen! Stay tuned for that!
