sligo photographer bestPhotographing Irish weddings since 2007 means I’ve shot a lot of church weddings, and as most reading this will know, Irish church weddings typically last around 1 hour. This means after the processional and vows, I have a lot of time to watch, observe and see what documentary shots I can capture, all while being out of the way and not noticed!

Every wedding is different, and ones with kids are generally more unpredictable! This little guy wasn’t being noisy or anything but I remember him moving around a bit and thought there would be a picture there somewhere at some point…things just had to come together. Finally after a couple of minutes of watching the front row, he stood in front of his mum, looked up at the junior bridesmaid and she just put her fingers to her lips to reinforce the need to be silent at this moment in the ceremony. That was the moment and I just clicked my shutter right then. He just kept smiling throughout with that little mischievous smile he had!
