So 2017 is a wrap!! From being ‘attacked’ by owls to ironing the grooms shirt, it’s been a long, yet short year if you can understand that!! This is my best of post, or rather, a favourites post. At some point I’ll try & get a number of how many photos I’ve shot in a year, and how many were delivered to clients! By the time I shot Kathryn & Andrew’s wedding at the end of December, my count was 386 weddings shot! So at some point in 2018 I’ll hit the big 400…crazy number & something I never even remotely thought of when I began this journey back at the end of 2006 & when I shot my first wedding back in April 2007 with Susan & Aidan.
From weddings all over Leitrim, Mayo, Galway, Donegal, Roscommon, Longford, Westmeath & of course Sligo, thanks to all couples & friends & families who helped make these images possible! I’ve been honoured to photograph weddings where I was a part of guests of 300+ right down to almost 20. And every wedding is different & it’s why I still love shooting them even after 386 of them!
This best of post is a mixture of moments & portraits, which ultimately is how I approach each wedding! For me, it’s nice to be able to stop & look back through each wedding and find what stands out for me personally. As a photographer I do get wrapped up in shooting the wedding, then editing the wedding then having to move onto the next one…it’s hard to take them in & reflect…so this post is as much for me to look back on, as it is for all my 2017 clients, and of course any future or potential clients…if you are looking for a wedding photographer & have some questions for me, drop me a mail here or use the Contact Page.
I hope you enjoy looking through these moments as much as I did picking them out….Mark
