Lisa & Patrick, Wedding, Cliffoney Co.Sligo to Harvey’s Point Co.Donegal
Let me first start with saying there’s dancing at weddings, and there’s dancing at weddings!! Lisa & Patrick’s wedding was like unleashing all the dancing we’ve missed at weddings since 2020! SO…MUCH…FUN!
On a bright sunny day in north Sligo, Lisa & Patrick got married and made the spin up the road to Harvey’s Point. Arriving before most of guests meant we got straight into doing the photos around the gorgeous location. The leaves on the trees still hadn’t really changed around Harvey’s but a blast of sunshine for about five minutes more than made up for the missing autumn colours and that sun gave us a warm autumnal glow, the kind of dreamy light that is simply beautiful to work in.
Following a half hour or so of the band Red Alert getting everybody seriously warmed up on the dance-floor it was time for the groom himself to take to the stage. Patrick & his groomsmen have their own band, the Rockhill Ramblers, so it’s now a wedding tradition that they play a few tunes in the evening and boy did they rock the place out! There wasn’t a single person that wasn’t on the dancefloor at some point…bride, brides parents, groom, grooms parents, grandparents, friends, family…me in the middle of it all capturing the fun, movement & energy of the guests on the dance-floor!
And kudos to Harvey’s Point for having the best and nicely lit dance floor I’ve ever seen. Most dancefloors are dark, with wonky lights that makes it so hard to photograph. This was the opposite, and the way all dance-floor in hotels should be!
Congrats again Lisa & Patrick…and thank you so much for having me at your wedding…start to finish it was a pleasure!
