Congratulations Róisín & Paul!

Finally I got to see and photograph a wedding in the newish Markree Courtyard! I’ve been photographing weddings in the castle since 2006 but this was my first time in & around the new venue of the Courtyard. What a lovely wedding to shoot there too!

Róisín & Paul had an intimate family day and it was pretty awesome, stress-free & definitely a nice one to shoot, even in between the showers! As someone from Sligo, I always find it nice when I arrive into a brides home, and the dad knows things about the primary school I went to, and when I went to it…it almost makes you feel part of the family at that early stage and it makes it easy to blend in, even when it’s a smaller wedding!
