STRANDHILL SURF FOLK SLIGO PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION DETAILS

Strandhill Surf Folk, a portrait exhibition featuring 85 people who surf and live in & around the Strandhill and Sligo community is opening on May 29th at the National Surf Centre in Strandhill village.

Opening details are sorted! It will kick off at 6pm until 9pm upstairs in the National Surf Centre on the shore road. We’ll have Tommy Finan on the decks playing some summer tunes. We’ll have a few remarks at approx. 6:30pm, and around all that plenty of community and chats amongst us all! Black Sheep Bakery from Strandhill will even be catering the opening!

Many thanks to the exhibition sponsors:

The Strand Bar, Mammy Johnstons, Voya, Shells Cafe, The Wetsuit Company, Stoked – all of whom are local Strandhill businesses and all of the business owners are included in the exhibition as they are all surfers themselves.

The people whose portraits you will see are doctors, yoga instructors, teachers, chefs, architects, musicians, photographers, entrepreneurs, students maybe even a pro surfer! How many will you know and how many will you know that you did not even know they surfed!
