Being a wedding photographer in Ireland during the beautiful summer 2024 is challenging with temperatures hitting a balmy 15 degrees today, somehow through all the autumn like weather we’ve had, I’ve got outside for most of my weddings or it’s poured rain all morning but cleared when we needed it to!
Above is Michelle & Padraig from June, who had a stunning wedding in Manorhamilton before going onto Lough Rynn Castle. If I had to pick three areas I’ve shot the most weddings in, Manorhamilton is definitely up there! I love a good Manor wedding and they always work out well & the people are fantastic to work with!
Definitely another of the top three areas I’ve photographed weddings in is Ballina in Mayo. From my very first wedding in 2007 with a Ballina couple (not in Ballina though) I’ve consistently photographed weddings there almost as much as Sligo weddings!
I don’t think I’ve ever been as happy at a wedding to see Antoinette & Mark get married. They booked me in 2019 for their wedding…2019. What were you doing in 2019? And though all the Covid issues & what have you, they finally got married mid-June! And I was honoured to have photographed their bridal portraits in the gardens where Mark’s parents got married years ago…such a nice touch.
