Congratulations Stephen & Johannes!

And we’re off…my 18th year as a wedding photographer began a couple of weeks ago in the always amazing Markree Castle! What an amazing couple to begin the year with. It just so happens that Stephen & Johannes’ wedding was my first same sex wedding, but what a great couple to work with.

I always love it when I just turn up, having never met the couple, but am welcomed graciously by everyone! Even in my 18th year, after 580 odd weddings, it still humbles me when people are so nice. And this wedding was like this from the moment I arrived until I left. Everybody especially Stephen & Johannes, was about having a good time with friends & family, and that’s exactly what everybody had!

I love to pick up little stories here & there sometimes from couples. And with Stephen & Johannes from the Cork area, I asked, why Markree. I know it’s amazing, but Stephen told me he seen the castle about 30 years ago, and when it came to getting married, that’s where it would be. And that’s how we ended up in Markree for their fabulous wedding in early March!
